MILS stands for Modular Intergrated Landscaping System. It is a system with certain rules for connecting different types of landscapes and/or structures in a modular way and later also for easy relocation. A structure built on a MILS has a rock-solid foundation and can be picked up with one hand without loosening stones. As the name implies, this system revolves around modules that form a whole when joined together.
By using MILS you can very simply add depth to your city or MOC. Because you start with the height of one Brick and Plate on the Baseplate, you can easily create a river or a pond. This way it is also possible to have a hole in the road in which you recreate a work situation and because the sides are open you can easily hide all electrical cables for your buildings lighting. You can build and swap more modules to change the face of your layout.
